About the serviceA full truck from China to Tashkent takes 6 to 21 days. Groupage (LTL) takes 9 to 27. The range is wide because "China" covers two very different starting points: Urumqi is about 1,800 km from Tashkent, while Yiwu and Guangzhou are almost 6,000 km away. That is roughly a week on the road. We count transit time from loading at the shipper to unloading in Tashkent.
The main route runs through Khorgos, the road crossing between China and Kazakhstan. The cargo is loaded in Yiwu, Guangzhou or another Chinese city, and export clearance is done at the shipper's end. The truck then drives across China to Urumqi and Khorgos, crosses Kazakhstan via Almaty and Shymkent, and enters Uzbekistan at the Zhibek Zholy crossing. Import customs clearance takes place in Uzbekistan. At the Chinese border the cargo is usually transferred from the Chinese truck to the one that continues the journey, which adds 1–2 days.
Transit time by loading city:
The border takes most of the time. We allow 1 to 4 days at Khorgos, and it is the least predictable part of the route: it depends on the queue of trucks and how busy the crossing is. Import clearance and the Zhibek Zholy crossing add another 1–2 days. If the route includes several borders, add a day for weekends, when checkpoints work more slowly.
For Yiwu the time adds up roughly like this: 10–12 days on the road, about a day for loading, 1–4 days at Khorgos, 1–2 days for the transfer at the border, and 1–2 days for import clearance and Zhibek Zholy. The total of 12–21 days is not a simple sum of the highest values, because delays at every stage at once are rare. The upper limit allows for the worst case only at the narrowest point, Khorgos.
The second factor is paperwork. Cargo is most often held up by mistakes in the invoice or missing certificates, so we check the documents before dispatch, not at the border.
The third is season. If Khorgos is congested, there is a backup route through Kyrgyzstan via the Irkeshtam and Dustlik crossings. From Urumqi it takes about the same time, 6–13 days, but Irkeshtam can be closed in winter, and then this option is not available.
Groupage takes 3–6 days longer than a full truck: the truck is put together from several consignments, and consolidation takes time.
The most common cargo from China is clothing and textiles, electronics, spare parts, equipment, building materials and household goods. A full truck makes sense from 10 tonnes or 40 m³, and we use tilt trucks, reefers and container carriers. For smaller loads, send the cargo by groupage, starting from a few pallets. From your supplier you need the invoice, the packing list and the contract. If your goods require certificates, for example a certificate of conformity or a phytosanitary certificate, ask the supplier for them in advance.
We take care of the rest: we prepare the CMR consignment note, the TIR carnet and the customs declaration, and we select the HS code from the description of your goods. If you need a certificate of origin, we help you obtain it. After your request, the manager will tell you exactly what your cargo requires.
