Every consignment that crosses the border of Uzbekistan needs customs clearance. We handle three procedures. For import, the cargo is released in Uzbekistan: the declaration is filed, duties are paid and certificates are collected. For export, you need an export declaration and a certificate of origin. Transit through Uzbekistan is cleared with a transit declaration and a TIR carnet.
You can order the service together with the transport or separately. If we also transport the cargo, we prepare the declaration while it is on the road. That way it spends less time at the terminal. If you have already brought the cargo in yourself, we will clear it separately: send us the documents, and the manager will tell you what is missing.
You send a description of the goods and the documents. We select the HS code: the duty rates, the tax and the permits depend on it. Before the cargo is dispatched we calculate the duty, VAT and fees in advance, so you know the full import cost instead of finding out at the border. We then prepare the set of documents, file the declaration and accompany the inspection if one is ordered.
If the documents are in order, clearance usually takes less than a day. Delays are most often caused by mistakes in the invoice or missing certificates. Another common cause is a wrong HS code: the cargo is held and the payments are recalculated. That is why we check both the code and the documents before dispatch, not on the day the cargo reaches the border.
For the calculation and filing we need the invoice, the packing list, the CMR and the contract with the supplier. For export, and in some cases for import, a certificate of origin is also needed. If your goods require certificates of conformity or phytosanitary certificates, ask the supplier for them in advance.
