How a shipment from Iran to Uzbekistan moves

A full truck from Iran to Tashkent takes 5 to 14 days. We count transit time from loading at the shipper to unloading in Tashkent. Iran and Uzbekistan do not share a border, so the whole route runs through Turkmenistan: the truck enters it from Iran and leaves it directly into Uzbekistan.

The cargo is loaded in Tehran, Mashhad, the port of Bandar Abbas or another Iranian city, and export clearance is done at the shipper's end. At the Iran–Turkmenistan border the truck crosses at Sarakhs, passes through Turkmenistan in transit and enters Uzbekistan at the Farap — Alat crossing. Import customs clearance is done in Uzbekistan.

Transit time by loading city:

• Mashhad to Tashkent (about 1,400 km): 5–9 days by full truck;
• Tehran to Tashkent (about 2,250 km): 5–11 days by full truck;
• Bandar Abbas to Tashkent (about 3,500 km): 7–14 days by full truck.

What affects transit time

For Tehran the time adds up roughly like this: 4–5 days on the road, about a day for loading, 1–2 days at Sarakhs, and 1–2 days for Farap — Alat and import clearance. The total of 5–11 days is not a simple sum of the highest values, because delays at every stage at once are rare. The upper limit allows for the worst case only at the narrowest point, and here that is the entry into Uzbekistan. With several borders on the way, add a day for weekends, when checkpoints work more slowly.

Turkmenistan needs a separate note. We calculate the transit by crossings and distance, but the conditions for driving through the country, including permits and fees, depend on the cargo and the truck. The manager will confirm them when preparing your quote, and they can affect both time and price. The earlier you tell us what you ship, the more precise the answer will be.

As on other routes, cargo is most often held up by mistakes in the invoice or missing certificates. We check the documents before dispatch.

Groupage on this route is possible, at roughly 8–20 days. The manager gives you the departure schedule as part of the quote.

What we carry and in what

The most common cargo from Iran is food, building materials, polymers and fruit. A full truck makes sense from 10 tonnes or 40 m³, and we use tilt trucks, reefers and container carriers. For fruit and food that needs a set temperature, choose a reefer and say so in your request. For smaller loads, write to us and we will explain how to send them by groupage.

Documents you need

From your supplier you need the invoice, the packing list and the contract. If your goods require certificates, for example a certificate of conformity or a phytosanitary certificate, ask the supplier for them in advance.

We take care of the rest: we prepare the CMR consignment note, the TIR carnet and the customs declaration, and we select the HS code from the description of your goods. If you need a certificate of origin, we help you obtain it.

There are no prices on the site: rates change every day. The price depends on the loading city, the truck type, the weight and volume, the season and customs. To get a quote, send us the origin, the destination, what you ship, the weight or volume and the date the cargo will be ready. During working hours, 9:00 to 18:00 (Tashkent time), a manager replies within 5 minutes with the price and transit time, and then keeps you informed about where your cargo is at every stage.
